Christi Bell is a St. Louis native who discovered her passion for dance at an early age. Her dance journey began at six years old when she embraced the art at her childhood church, Greater Faith Missionary Baptist. Here, her dance experience was initiated in liturgical/praise & worship. She trained extensively in this genre from early childhood into her adult years. As her education progressed in the Kirkwood School district, she continued her dance education with her high school dance team where she expanded her skill set in jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, and dance team specific genres.

After graduating high school, she pursued a degree in dance at Lindenwood University, where she was given extensive opportunities to perform, choreograph, and collaborate with her fellow classmates and faculty members on several projects. One of her most notable projects includes her 2019 fall concert piece entitled “Pain, Conviction, Innocence, Perseverance” which was chosen as one of the choreographic pieces to be taken to the American College Dance Association’s adjudicated concert in the spring of 2020. She was also given the opportunity to travel with the Lindenwood Dance Program to perform works in the Saint Louis National Dance Week festival, as well as the Missouri Dance Organization conference in Columbia, Missouri.

After receiving her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in dance from Lindenwood, Christi went on to teach at two local dance studios in the St. Louis area, Charmette Academy of Dance (Sunset Hills) and Best Dance and Talent Center (Florissant). She had the pleasure of training over two-hundred students in the styles of hip hop, jazz, ballet, tap, and contemporary. Today Bell continues her dance journey as a freelance choreographer and performer as she refines her skills and returns to her roots in praise & worship dance. She has plans to someday open her own studio to give back to the very community that shaped her into the artist she is today.
