Lily believes that the physical and mental nourishment that comes from dance is something to be cherished, celebrated, and experienced by all. She started taking ballet classes at age three, and over the years, fell in love with the movement, performance, and community that dance provides. Maintaining a strong ballet foundation, she went on to train and compete in pointe, jazz, and lyrical at her home studio.
Lily was a member of the competitive dance team at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan from 2013 through 2018. She choreographed and performed pieces in jazz, pom, and hip hop with her team at college events, and competed at NAIA conference cheer and dance championships. As a co-captain and later head captain, Lily saw her dance team grow from a relatively small program into a nationally ranked team.
After moving to St. Louis in 2019, Lily began taking occasional drop-in classes at CKDC and is now proud to join this community of amazing artists as an apprentice. She is excited to re-enter the world of dance in a more inclusive space, showing that dance isn't simply something to be practiced by a few elite athletes, but an inherently human activity, meant to be experienced by all.
