Sofia began her training at the age of six in Venezuela. She received the “Dancer of the Year” award from the State of Monagas in 1999 and again in 2001, which allowed her to perform extensively and nationwide for the following years. At the age of thirteen, she was already an outstanding performer and lead dancer for the “Gustavo Silva” Dance Company. She began choreographing for children and continued to do so until she moved to Australia, where she studied at the renowned “Patrick School of Arts”.  After experimenting with other dance styles, it was clear that contemporary was her passion and strength. She moved to Saint Louis, MO, in 2023 after living in India for five years of yoga training and spiritual practice. Latin and Caribbean rhythms are part of her background, which makes this dancer’s style versatile and colorful.
